Updating the comfort!
So I've been updating the padding and nose area. This is to make it more comfortable as it was digging into the bridge of my nose and my neck.
First of all, i found some really jagged edges under the nose coverings. This is my fault as I initially made the hole so that my own nose wasnt squashed against the fiberglass. (I did that the same time i cut holes through to the nostrils so I can actually breathe through it!)
Here's how it looks at the moment
Just plain felt over the fiberglass..
Then i found this jagged sharp edge under the felt (ouch!)
Ive also had it really tight and rubbing against my neck, so i peeled back the felt to look underneath at potentially trimming it back. Look at that! Its like a blade... it was readily trying to decapitate a Wookiee!
This was how it came from the supplier. So I trimmed that bad boy right down.
And this is my prototype padding. Once i tried it on it was so comfy compared to before. If anything it gives me better Jaw movement as well as I am pressed against it more firmly, but it is now more softly padded.

Finishing up!
So the time has come for pretty much the final post before my FIRST outing as Chewie in public!
We e made a hair net for Chewies head to keep his hair in line, added padding to the tongue and chin. I've weathered the bowcaster and finished the final wire wrap on the stock.
Adding hair to the knees, cut 2 wedges out of the trouser bell bottoms to make them more fitting to the stilts.
Adds more hair to the shoulders, made a pocket on the front of th undersuit to hold the speaker...
It's pretty much done now!!
Thanks everyone for help and advice so far, most of which to my wife Steph who worked with me on most parts which I would have never been able to do!!
